Meet the team

Cody Maxwell joined Hageman in April 2025 as an Asset Manager, bringing with him a strong background in financial analysis and strategic asset oversight. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, where he double-majored in Finance and Marketing.

Before joining Hageman, Cody served as a Financial Analyst at Barratt Asset Management, where he managed the firm’s two largest and newest funds. His work focused on portfolio management, performance tracking, investor reporting, debt strategy, budgeting, pricing, and market analysis.

Prior to that, Cody worked at Hilco Global Asset Management as an Associate Management Consultant, contributing to a variety of unique projects involving market research, predictive modeling, and operational improvements across multiple industries.

Cody’s top strengths—data analysis, financial modeling, debt strategy, market research, and relationship development—enable him to make sound, data-driven decisions rooted in both historical performance and forward-looking assumptions. Notable past projects include the development of FP&A cash flow models across an entire asset portfolio, helping leadership evaluate key decisions on refinancing, capex, and distributions, as well as leading a market study on terminal opportunities in Southern Louisiana, which included a predictive model analyzing inbound port tonnage.

Outside of work, Cody enjoys helping out on his family farm, especially with his younger brother’s livestock projects, and cheering him on at baseball games. He also loves spending time with his nieces and nephews, golfing, learning about real estate finance and economics, and watching sports with friends and family. Cody and his fiancée, Hannah, are getting married in September 2025 and enjoy trying new restaurants and attending church together.
